All too often, the imagination is viewed as a means of escape or accessing the fantastic.  As a result, such perceptions hinder appreciation for the imagination as a means of bearing witness to the full weight of what Christian hope offers us in this life.  In contrast, the Christian imagination confronts what may reside in even the darkest corners of our present existence in light of their eventual redemption.  With applications across the disciplines, the 2025-2026 & 2026-2027 common learning theme focused on the cultivation of the Christian imagination introduces ways of forging relationships between faith and learning for disciples living in anticipation of Christ’s return wherever and however they are called to serve.
